The national strategy for the protection of critical infrastructures (Ski Strategy 2018 – 2022) aims at improving the protection of critical infrastructures in Switzerland. easypsim developed tailor-made PSIM software for this purpose in order to be able to integrate energy and water supply into remote monitoring at low cost. The protection of system-relevant infrastructure has the highest priority and can be implemented even with a small budget.

Why is PSIM important for critical infrastructures?

If intruders or manipulations of system-critical infrastructure must be detected in real time, PSIM should be considered as a security solution. PSIM centralizes security management at a single location and thus creates the possibility to react to alarms in real time – and this with an unlimited number of locations.

In this way, alarms from perimeter protection, video surveillance system (VMS) or remote opening can be easily checked by the security center. PSIM Cloud is a relatively cost-effective security solution. This approach is particularly suitable, since generally smaller amounts of data are sent, many smaller locations must be monitored and server infrastructures rarely exist.
